There once was a time when I wrote for the baseness of it. I wasn't spinning beautiful word tapistries or giving some cryptic message or making myself feel better though confessional release. I was just using words, as tools. They wouldn't even be in any pattern of meaning sometimes. I would just write lists and lists of words because I was enthralled by them. It was an obsession I could not feed to satisfy the life of me.

Now it's almost non-existent. And I wonder what changed.
