Tears streaming in my despaire
But even they don’t really care
Only because they just don’t dare
For I’m the lioness in her lair
With vengeance and havoc to declare

But yet, I must have my comfort
As a dove needs her mate
So is a woman bound to this fate
To struggle against it only causes hate
To grow and seethe in a painful knot
And her, in love’s vises to be utterly caught

But still, I fight, frightened, against it
Falling, helplessly, deeper and deeper
Into the emotionless, churning pit
Afraid of my heart breaking
Whether I hit the ground or rise
To the moon which will scorch my wings

But have it I must, this thing called love
Though it feels like hell, sent from above
As I learn to let him hold me close
Learning to be a little bolder, less colder
To the affections that could sooth my
Raging, rampaging spirit
